About us

Small Town Famous started out in a basement. We designed volleyball apparel and headbands and sold at tournaments across the midwest. We now have a three story shopping experience in downtown Hastings, but our roots will always be volleyball.

The Story

What started as a law school graduate without a job turned into weekends packed with volleyball tournaments, selling headbands and colorful hoodies with a whole lot of hustle. BAD Sportz was built on three words: Believe. Achieve. Dominate. and a love for the volleyball community. With family, friends, and later my husband Matt (our screen-printing wizard), we grew, adapted, changed course several times but stayed true to what mattered most. After every twist and turn, we’ve come full circle back to our volleyball roots. -Jacque
